Attorney Profile

Michael Goodman has been practicing law for more than 10 years in cases including wrongful death, medical malpractice, legal malpractice. He has more than 8 years of medical malpractice experience. Michael has successfully tried cases before numerous juries and administrative hearings across Colorado. Ninety five percent of his practice is devoted to litigation.

After graduating with honors from a top 10 law school he was admitted to the Federal bar and the Colorado bar in 1994. During his early career Michael worked as a law clerk to federal court district judge, Sherman G. Finesilver. He then went into private practice, first at Dufford & Brown, P.C. and then at Cooper & Clough, P.C., where he was promoted to a partner in the firm. Several years later he opened a successful private practice.

Michael earned his J.D. from New York University in 1994, his Master’s degree from University of Denver in 1989 and his B.A. from Colorado College in 1984. He’s a multi-generation Colorado native. His family is deeply rooted in Denver. In fact, he was born at Denver General Hospital and both of his parents were also born in Denver. His father is a North High School alumni, and his mother graduated East High School and he’s a Cherry Creek High School alumni. Michael has served on several community boards, including Meet the Wilderness, (a youth wilderness encounter program).
